Tamarind

Tamarind was a full intensive remodel of a Westminster home — the kind of project that goes well beyond a kitchen-and-bath refresh into a true architectural reset. The brief was clear: take a dated layout and reimagine it as a modern, contemporary home that holds up against new-construction quality without losing the warmth that makes a house feel lived-in.

The kitchen anchors the entire project. We rebuilt it around a vaulted ceiling, an oversized waterfall island, and full-height light oak cabinetry that runs floor-to-ceiling on every wall — clean lines, no upper-cabinet clutter, and a deliberate design choice to let the wood tone do the heavy lifting. The professional-grade Wolf range with its signature red knobs reads as the focal point, paired with a designer brass faucet and pendant lighting that warms up the otherwise modern palette. Calacatta-style stone runs across the countertops and backsplash for a single continuous surface that catches light from the south-facing windows.

The living spaces were opened up to follow the same logic — vaulted ceilings throughout the main floor, a dramatic floor-to-ceiling black-framed picture window that pulls the backyard into the room, and wide-plank engineered wood flooring continuous across the entire ground level. Every sightline was planned: from the front entry, you can see straight through to the windows; from the kitchen, you can see the living room and outdoor space without visual interruption.

The finish package across the home holds the same standard — designer chandelier in the dining area, black window framing as a consistent architectural detail, premium fixtures throughout, and a clean white-and-oak palette that gives the home a contemporary California-modern feel without being cold.
