Lumen

Lumen is a brand-new 1,200 sq ft detached ADU in Westminster — three bedrooms, two full bathrooms, designed around a single guiding principle: light. From the open-concept main floor to the oversized windows on every elevation, the entire unit was built to feel bright, airy, and twice as large as its actual footprint.

The signature design moment is the front door — a saturated yellow that announces the unit's personality from the curb and immediately tells visitors this isn't a generic accessory build. Inside, that energy is balanced against a deliberately restrained palette: soft white walls, wide-plank light wood-look flooring, and clean white cabinetry throughout. The contrast between the playful entry and the calm interior gives the home a designer's touch — confident, intentional, and unexpected.

The open-concept main floor flows from a dedicated dining area into a living room and through to the kitchen without visual interruption. Wide picture windows on three sides pull natural light deep into every corner, and we kept the architectural details minimal on purpose — recessed lighting, clean trim, and continuous flooring — so the light itself becomes the hero of the space rather than competing with heavy finishes.

The kitchen carries the same clean modern logic: white shaker cabinetry, white quartz countertops, designer pendant lighting, and a stainless steel appliance package — a backdrop the homeowner can layer their own style onto rather than a kitchen that demands to be the focal point. Both bathrooms were finished with the same restrained luxury approach, with designer tile, modern fixtures, and quality vanities.
