Ramada is a Garden Grove hotel renovation by FGRED — Indochine contemporary lobby remodel of a Little Saigon landmark, with Kim Concept Interior Design.

The Ramada Hotel sits at the heart of Little Saigon — a longstanding landmark for the Vietnamese community in Orange County and one of Garden Grove's most recognizable hospitality addresses. When the property's leadership decided to refresh the lobby, the goal was clear: honor the building's history and the community it serves, while bringing the guest experience into the present.

We were honored to deliver this project as the build partner alongside Kim Concept Interior Design, led by Kim Pham. Kim's design direction set the tone — an Indochine contemporary palette that draws from the elegance of French-colonial Southeast Asian hospitality: warm timber, refined detailing, layered textures, and botanical accents balanced against clean modern lines. Our role was to execute that vision with the craftsmanship and finish quality the design demanded.

Every surface in the lobby was touched. We rebuilt the reception experience around a new custom millwork desk, layered the walls with textured paneling and Indochine-inspired detailing, and brought in a lighting package designed to make the space feel welcoming during the day and atmospheric in the evening. Custom architectural elements — arched openings, dark wood accents, and curated decorative finishes — were built in-house to match Kim Concept's specifications precisely. Flooring, ceiling treatments, and finish carpentry were all executed to commercial-hospitality standards, built to handle the daily traffic of an active hotel without losing their refinement.

Beyond the visible finishes, this was a full commercial scope — coordinated electrical, lighting, HVAC adjustments, and the City of Garden Grove permit package, all managed in-house. The result is a lobby that respects the Ramada's place in the Little Saigon community while giving travelers a contemporary, design-forward arrival experience.

We extend our sincere thanks to the Ramada Hotel team for entrusting us with this project, and to Kim Concept for the design partnership. A meaningful addition to the FGRED portfolio — and a strong proof point for our commercial and hospitality capabilities.
