Prunus

The Prunus project was a full-home remodel of a Fountain Valley residence — a top-to-bottom transformation that took a dated single-story home and reimagined it as a modern, design-forward space without changing the footprint.

We took the project from permit application through final inspection in-house. The scope was ambitious: full kitchen rebuild, multiple bathroom renovations, a custom staircase, new flooring throughout, and a complete finish package that runs consistently from the front door to the back bedroom.

The kitchen is the centerpiece of the remodel. We anchored it with a large center island finished with a waterfall-edge marble countertop, paired with a statement range hood and a stainless appliance package. The cabinetry is a clean modern flat-panel finish, and the island doubles as a casual dining and prep zone, opening directly into the main living area.

The staircase became an architectural feature in its own right. We rebuilt it with a slim metal railing, exposed wood treads, and a dark vertical accent wall that turns the stair into a sculptural moment instead of just a connector — the kind of detail that signals the rest of the home's design intent.

Both bathrooms were finished to a spa standard. The primary pairs a double vanity with a freestanding soaking tub, a separate walk-in shower with a built-in bench, and full-height tile that elevates the room beyond a typical remodel. The secondary keeps the language consistent — modern hardware, walk-in shower, designer fixtures, and a quiet finish package.

The bedrooms were finished with intentional accent walls — a deep navy in one, a soft neutral in another — small design choices that give each room its own identity while keeping the overall palette cohesive. Wood flooring runs throughout the main living areas and bedrooms, tying the whole home together.

Delivered on schedule with full permit closeout through the City of Fountain Valley, every permit handled in-house — a full remodel that gave the home a completely new identity while respecting what was already there.
