Courtney
Overview
Huntington Beach High end remodel by FGRED — a vaulted open-plan home transformed with a crystal chandelier, two-tone gloss kitchen and a soaring primary suite.
The Story
Courtney is a full High-end remodel of a Huntington Beach home — a project that starts at the curb and carries its design language through every room without interruption. The exterior was reimagined with a modern black horizontal-slat garage door, matching black slat privacy fence panels set into crisp white stucco walls, and a covered entry approach finished with warm travertine-look stone cladding and a brass lantern pendant — a composed arrival sequence that signals immediately this is not a standard renovation.
Inside, the home opens into a vaulted living space anchored by a crystal tiered chandelier that commands the full height of the room. Wide-plank light oak hardwood floors run continuously through every living area, hallway, and bedroom — a material choice that unifies the entire floor plan and gives the home its warmth. The open-plan layout flows from the living room through the dining zone and into the kitchen without visual interruption, and the scale of the vaulted ceiling makes the whole sequence feel larger and more generous than the square footage suggests.
The kitchen is built around a bold two-tone composition: high-gloss white upper cabinetry paired with dark espresso lower cabinets and a full-height pantry tower that grounds the cooking wall. A Calacatta marble-look quartz island with a waterfall edge anchors the center of the space, and floating dark wood open shelves add warmth and editorial depth above the countertop zone. A KitchenAid French door refrigerator, integrated beverage fridge, and a crystal rectangular pendant chandelier over the dining table complete a kitchen that reads as both high-function and high-design.
The primary suite is one of the project's strongest spaces. A soaring vaulted ceiling with an exposed black beam at the apex gives the room genuine architectural presence, and a full-width sliding glass door opens directly to the private rear patio — bringing the outdoor space into the bedroom rather than separating the two. The en-suite bathroom is finished in rich dark metallic tile with dark espresso vanity cabinetry, a deliberate contrast to the bright white living spaces that makes the bathroom feel like a private retreat within the retreat.
The secondary bathroom is finished in large-format grey tile with a soft watercolor quality — abstract, atmospheric, and distinctly designed — paired with a white floating vanity, vessel sink, and frameless glass shower enclosure with matte black hardware accents.
The backyard is private and mature, with a concrete patio accessible directly from the primary bedroom, a generous lawn, and established palm and garden landscaping that gives the outdoor space the feel of a settled, livable yard rather than a blank slate.
Delivered with all City of Huntington Beach permits handled in-house. A remodel that earns its quality from the first impression all the way through to the last detail.
